This is the readme file for averaged data of the square cylinder wake of Lyn and Rodi.
The data is stored in 21 files totaling approximately 804 KB.  The first 20 
files contain data from each of 20 phase angles during a period of the vortex 
shedding.  The 21st file (pav) contains data averaged over all the phases.

Within each of the first 20 files (with name "CMP20Pxx" where "xx" is 01 through 20 
corresponding to the number of the phase angle), there are sections containing data at 
fixed streamwise location and varying transverse location (measured from the center of the 
cylinder).  The streamwise location and the number of velocity components (one or two) 
is coded in the text header for each section.  The number of data points 
(the number of transverse locations) and the value of the 
phase angle (in degrees) are also contained in the headers.

The name of a section (in the lines:  "#@# filename =...") is coded as follows:

a_b****.suf    where:
   One or two component measurements are indicated by:
          'a'= o : one component
          'a'= t : two component

   The x-position (streamwise) is determined thus: 
          'b' = d : downwind
          'b' = u : upwind
          '****' = 1000 * x/H where H is the cylinder width.

   Time-information is determined by the suffix:
          'suf'  = avg :  for averaged values
          'suf' = p01 :  for the 1st phase angle
              ...
          'suf' = p20 :  for the 20th phase angle
