data set TBL21: Mild separation bubble.
Y.Na and P.Moin, 1996, Direct numerical simulations of turbulent boundary
layers with adverse pressure gradient and separation. Report TF-68.
Thermosciences division, Dept. Mech. Eng. Stanford University.
All data are in the form of "flat" binary files with ascii headers.
TWO-DIMENSIONAL (x, y) TIME- AND SPANWISE-AVERAGED DATA:
umean.bin: u_average, u_rms, -u'v' computed at the u collocation points.
vmean.bin: v_average, v_rms, -u'v' computed at the v collocation points.
wmean.bin: w_average, p_average, w_rms, p_rms.
FIVE-DIMENSIONAL (x, x', y, y', dz) SPANWISE AVERAGED 2-POINT CORRELATIONS:
corX.bin: where X=1..6 corresponds to six different streamwise "slabs"
centred at x= 80.5, 122.4, 160.7, 220.0, 270.2, 321.1.
Each file contains small-separation two point correlations
of u'u', v'v', w'w', u'v' and v'u'.
% -------------------------------------------------------------
Because of the staggered-mesh numerical scheme used in the original
calculation, each set of variables has different collocation points, and
different sets have been separated in individual files, each of which includes
its own grid definition.
The autocorrelation functions have been interpolated to the centres of the
cells (w/p-grid).
